Prepare to Be Impressed: Director of the Year Finalists Shine Brighter than Ever

UT Police at Houston is excited to announce William Adcox, chief of police and chief security officer, has been selected as a finalist for Campus Safety Director of the Year by Campus Safety Magazine. Annually, a panel of judges recognizes a hospital, school or university campus police chief, director of public safety and security, emergency manager or other administrator responsible for campus protection who goes above and beyond the call of duty, demonstrating outstanding leadership skills, ingenuity, selflessness and overall achievement.

Chief Adcox was nominated for implementing innovative programs in campus security, including Med Tac training and threat management. Additionally, he was noted for his development of an innovation strategic planning process focused on engagement, building meaningful relationships with our MD Anderson and UTHealth communities, his overall commitment to diversity, advancement of crime prevention skill sets and his contributions to leading industry publications.
