The University of Texas Police at Houston is proud to announce Director Ray Gerwitz has once again been selected as a finalist for the Outstanding Security Performance Awards (OSPA) - Best Security Director Award. This is Gerwitz's second consecutive year being named a national finalist for this award. The United States OSPAs are part of a global awards scheme currently running in eight countries that serve to recognize and reward teams, individuals and organizations for their commitment and outstanding performance within the security industry. The criteria for these awards are based on extensive research on key factors that contribute to and characterize outstanding performance.

Gerwitz is the only repeat finalist selected for this award confirming the selection committee, made up of industry leaders, recognizes our team’s consistent service delivery and strategic value to the institutions we serve.
