Carlos Torres, Distinguished Service
Since August 2018, Public Safety Supervisor Carlos Torres has led the team of public safety officers who provide service to MD Anderson’s Pickens Tower. In the debriefing following a response to a Code Blue, Torres offered improvements to procedures and raised questions pertaining to the response. As a result, Torres created an information guide for the Code Blue Team and the Medical Emergency Rapid Intervention Team to thwart obstacles in response and to ensure faster response times in subsequent Code Blue emergencies.
