UT Police Annual Toy Drive & Operation Blue Santa Collection Underway

UT Police invites the community to contribute toward its Annual Toy Drive benefiting youth in Houston and Operation Blue Santa benefiting families in need in Bastrop.

UT Police is accepting toy donations for the Annual Toy Drive benefiting pediatric patients of UTHealth Houston Harris County Psychiatric Center as well as children residing at UT Housing. The toy drive began November 18 and will last until December 17. This toy drive has been sponsored by UT Police for more than 20 years.

Toy donations should be new, unopened, unwrapped, and for a child between the ages 5-17. Items not accepted are batteries, antennas, pencil sharpeners, or any sharp items.

Donation boxes for the Toy Drive can be found in the lobby at the following UTHealth Houston locations:

• Biomolecular Behavioral Sciences (BBS)
• Cizik School of Nursing (SON)
• Institute of Molecular Medicine (IMM)
• McGovern Medical School (MED) – LRC Lobby
• Recreation Center
• School of Public Health (SPH)
• University Center Tower

Donation boxes can be found on specific floors in these locations:

• UT Professional Building – 11^th Floor
• School of Dentistry (SOD) – 5330
• Operations Center Building – Rio Grande Room
• University Center Tower – Near security station

MD Anderson and UTHealth Houston workforce members may bring donations to any of the above locations or to UT Police headquarters, 7777 Knight Rd, Houston, Texas, 77054. The gift drive is not open to the public.

Additionally, our detachment unit in Bastrop is collecting donations for Operation Blue Santa in conjunction with our partners from the Bastrop Association of Sheriff Employees.

Operation Blue Santa provides toys and donations for families in need during the holiday season.

Toy donations can be dropped in boxes distributed throughout the campus in 5 buildings. Monetary donations can be dropped off at the UT Police office in Bastrop. Electronic funds are also being accepted by Captain Wayne Smith.
