The University of Texas Police at Houston invites its community to attend safety presentations scheduled for the month of December.
In addition to its regular offerings, Introduction to Verbal Defense and De-escalation principles, Active Shooter Prevention and Response and General Campus Safety, UT Police is hosting three additional presentations:
Identity Theft Awareness, 10:30 a.m., Dec. 9
Identify Theft Awareness coincides with National Identity Theft Prevention and Awareness Month observed in December. Attendees learn about various kinds of identity theft, ways to protect against identity theft and the impact identity theft can have on its victims. The course also discusses steps to take and resources for identity theft victims.
Holiday Safety, 10:30 a.m., Dec. 16
Holiday Safety is a general safety awareness class geared toward common holiday related crimes, such as theft and property crimes.
Weather the Storm: Resilience in Unfavorable Weather Conditions, 10 a.m., Dec. 16
In this presentation, attendees learn what to do to prepare for a weather emergency. UT Police offers this class periodically throughout the year, but especially before the start of hurricane season and winter season.
Join UT Police for any of the presentations listed above and register via Zoom. View a complete class calendar on the Campus Safety section of the UT Police website.
