The 2025 Annual Safety Reports for MD Anderson and UTHealth Houston Published

The 2025 Annual Safety Reports are now available for MD Anderson and UTHealth Houston.

Since its enactment in 1990, the Jeanne Clery Disclosure of Campus Security Policy and Campus Crime Statistics Act (Clery Act) has served as a blueprint for how higher education institutions disclose information about crimes that occur on and around their campuses.

The University of Texas Police at Houston (UT Police), in coordination with The University of Texas MD Anderson Cancer Center (MD Anderson) and The University of Texas Health Science Center at Houston (UTHealth Houston) , ensures full compliance with this landmark federal law by providing annual updates available on the UT Police website.

The Annual Security Report (MD Anderson) and the Security and Fire Safety Report (UTHealth Houston) serve as important resources not only for reviewing crime statistics but also for learning about the wide range of programs and services available to our community. UT Police invites our community to review the reports and partner with us to strengthen all aspects of campus safety.

The most recent reports, which cover calendar year 2024, were published on September 30.

Crimes included in one of four distinct categories must be reported in the Annual Security Report. They are:

  • Criminal offenses
  • Hate crimes
  • Violence against women
  • Arrests and referrals for disciplinary action

In addition, reported incidents must have occurred on campus, in non-campus buildings or properties, or on public property that is within or immediately adjacent to and accessible from the campus.

UT Police produces separate reports for each institution and incorporates policy information specific to each.
